Digital Imaging - Photo Manipulation
On the left ...... Three brothers "The Stanfords" racing together back in 1971 in a picture my late father took at Perris Raceway, Obvious to
me when I first saw this shot was that it was just just crying out for a photoshop manipulation to get the brothers 'closer together' in the
photograph. On the right was the finished product ...... to which Tom Stanford exclaimed in a return e mail about this and a few other prints he
ordered....
name = tom stanford
subject = great pics
comments = hi mario these pics are the best i have ever seen. thanks so much. the custom pic is absolutly awesome.thanks again. your friend

Photo Restoration
The above is pretty much the complete digital restoration process exemplified in the 3 photographs. 1. Original image 2. Black and white image
restored and 3.The same image colorized or lightly tinted as they used to say in the old days. All this stuff used to be done by hand .... with toners
and ink physically restoring the images on a copy photograph (using art brushes) which was printed in the dark room. Digital technologies make all this
possible to the degree that what is real and what is illusion ...... has become irrelevant in the restoration process.
Cloning, damping, sponging, lassoing etc etc... have made it possible to make your old photographs not only look original again, but better then original.
Taking out over flash or glare, toning down unwanted shadows, highlights, background distractions, etc... etc... '"It's a profession, but more then that it's
an art" .......
Another example of the photo restoration process........ some restorations are more involved, time consuming then others. Some are pretty straight ahead,
but everything can be restored with incredible results.
Great memories from the past don't always have to involve people. Favorite long ago possessions caught on film are some of our most treasured artifacts.
Color restoration, and details brought back to life in your favorite family or group gatherings. Nothing is too much of a challenge for us to handle at ......
